Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States, January 2026 — Matt Kelley has started a new position as Chief People Officer at Van Meter Inc., where he will lead the company’s people strategy, talent development, leadership capability building, culture strengthening, and organizational effectiveness initiatives in alignment with Van Meter’s employee-owned growth journey.
Matt Kelley joins Van Meter Inc. following his tenure as Vice President, Human Resources at Allredi, a private equity–backed industrial distribution and services organization, where he served on the senior executive leadership team. In this role, he led enterprise HR strategy across the United States and Canada, strengthened organizational culture, upgraded leadership and talent capabilities, and supported value-creation initiatives in preparation for a successful ownership transition.
Prior to Allredi, he spent over a decade at Summit Electric Supply, progressing through senior talent leadership roles including Director of Talent Management and Lead Talent Strategist. There, he designed and scaled enterprise recruiting, leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and innovative sales and internship development programs across multi-location domestic and international operations. Earlier in his career, Matt served as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, building a successful private practice and developing deep expertise in human behavior, conflict resolution, and personal development—capabilities that continue to shape his people-first leadership approach.
