New York, United States, January 2026 — Moelis & Company, a leading global independent investment bank, has announced the appointment of Matt Stuart as Vice President, Talent Acquisition | Human Capital Management, effective January 2026. Based in New York, Matt will support the firm’s talent acquisition strategy as Moelis continues to strengthen leadership and specialist hiring across global advisory and corporate finance functions.
With strong experience in executive recruiting and wealth/asset management talent acquisition, Matt brings deep expertise in building high-quality talent pipelines across financial services, including alternative investments, private wealth, and investment banking ecosystems.
Before joining Moelis & Company, Matt served for about one and a half years as Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition at CAIS, where he led talent acquisition efforts for a fast-growing platform focused on democratizing access to alternative investments and advisor education.
Prior to CAIS, he spent over two years at HPS Investment Partners, LLC as Vice President of Talent Acquisition, supporting hiring priorities across alternative credit and private capital. (HPS is now part of BlackRock.)
Earlier, Matt worked for about four years at Morgan Stanley, holding multiple roles of increasing responsibility including Senior Recruiter – Private Wealth Management, Recruiting Team Lead – Wealth Management, and Talent Acquisition Manager, building strong exposure to wealth management talent strategies at scale.
Before Morgan Stanley, he spent nearly two years at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Executive Recruiter – Asset & Wealth Management, supporting key hiring needs for senior and niche roles in the financial services ecosystem.
He also spent around three years with Barclays as a Direct Recruiter, strengthening his foundational experience in financial services hiring, candidate engagement, and recruitment delivery.
