Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 – Meena Kothari has taken on a new role as Head Human Resources, India at UBS, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career in HR leadership within the financial services sector. In this elevated position, Meena will lead the strategic HR agenda across UBS India, focusing on talent strategy, employee relations, and organizational culture as the firm continues to grow its integrated financial services operations in the region.
Meena joined UBS in December 2024 as Head of Employee Relations and quickly made a mark with her expertise in managing complex people issues and fostering collaborative work environments. Her promotion to Head Human Resources & Employee Relations, India reflects the trust placed in her capabilities to drive people strategy aligned with UBS’s global vision.
Prior to UBS, Meena served as Director and Country Head HR, India at Credit Suisse for nearly two years. In this role, she provided leadership during a period of organizational transition, playing a key role in talent integration, HR governance, and post-acquisition alignment following the bank’s merger into UBS Group.
Meena previously led HR for Rabobank India, where she spent four years managing end-to-end human resource operations, workforce planning, and employee engagement strategies. Her tenure was noted for strengthening HR systems and improving employer brand positioning in the competitive financial services space.
Earlier in her career, she held the role of Head HR at RBS Plc., India for over seven years, where she played a central role in navigating the bank through transformation phases. Prior to that, she held HR leadership and search roles at Karvy Private Wealth, EmmayHR, and General Trading Company, building a strong foundation in recruitment, training, and strategic HR interventions.
