NCR – National Capital Region, Philippines, February 2025 – Michael Angelo Malicsi has been appointed as Chief Human Resource Officer at UnionDigital Bank, bringing extensive experience in organizational development, talent management, culture transformation, and HR governance. In his new role, he will drive UnionDigital Bank’s people strategy, focusing on fostering a high-performance culture and advancing talent capabilities to support the bank’s mission of financial inclusion and digital banking innovation.
Prior to stepping into the CHRO role, Michael Angelo Malicsi served as Head of Talent and Culture at UnionDigital Bank, where he was instrumental in organizational transformation, workforce planning, and culture-building initiatives. He conceptualized and implemented ‘UD Life’, enhancing employee engagement and successfully driving HR governance, talent optimization, and leadership development programs.
Beyond UnionDigital Bank, Michael has an extensive background in academia and corporate leadership. He continues to serve as a Lecturer at Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University, shaping future business and HR leaders through courses in strategic human resource management, organizational communication, and business leadership.
His corporate HR leadership experience includes serving as HR Business Partner & Head of People Experience at Goldilocks Bakeshop, Inc., where he led employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning across 3,800 employees. He also spearheaded major organizational and cultural transformation initiatives, workforce reintegration strategies, and HR process optimizations.
Earlier, Michael held key HR leadership positions at Chef Tony’s Snack Foods Philippines Corporation, serving as Head of HR, where he led organizational restructuring, talent acquisition, and compensation strategy improvements, supporting business expansion across international markets.
Michael’s career also includes advisory and consultancy roles, serving as an Independent Director at Century Savings Bank Corporation, providing strategic guidance on governance, compliance, and corporate culture.
