ABB has officially announced the appointment of Morten Wierod as the new Chief Executive Officer, set to take the helm on August 1, 2024. This strategic transition will see Wierod stepping into the role following the retirement of the current CEO, Björn Rosengren, who will step down on July 31, 2024, and officially retire at the end of the year. During the interim, Rosengren will play a pivotal role in advising Wierod and the Executive Committee to ensure a smooth transition.
