India, August 2026 — WPP Media has appointed Ekta Khanna as Talent Acquisition Lead – India GOC, strengthening its talent leadership as the organization continues to build capabilities for the evolving media and technology landscape. Khanna brings more than 25 years of professional experience, with deep expertise across talent acquisition, HR operations, workforce planning, executive search, recruitment transformation and people analytics.
Prior to joining WPP Media, Khanna spent nearly seven years with Marks and Spencer Reliance India Private Limited, most recently serving as Head – Talent Acquisition and People Operations. In this role, she led end-to-end talent acquisition and HR operations for an organization comprising more than 2,000 employees and 100 stores. Her responsibilities included executive and leadership hiring, succession and workforce planning, frontline recruitment, HR digital transformation, payroll governance, compliance, total rewards and people-cost management. She also supported niche technology hiring for M&S India’s D2C digital initiatives.
Earlier, Khanna spent more than 12 years with Concentrix, progressing to Associate Director – Talent Acquisition. She led talent acquisition across India, China and Malaysia, managed regional recruitment teams and partnered with global HR stakeholders on recruitment process excellence and technology transformation. She was also involved in enterprise HR technology implementations including Workday and Taleo, alongside building talent acquisition analytics and governance frameworks supporting leadership teams across multiple geographies.
Khanna’s earlier career includes leadership assignments with Kelly Services as Unit Manager and Genpact as Manager – Business Operations & Sales Solutions. She began her career in customer operations and service roles in the telecom sector with Idea Cellular and Airtel. Her career progression has given her experience spanning recruitment, business operations, client management, process improvement and large-scale people operations.
In her new role at WPP Media, Khanna will lead Talent Acquisition for India GOC, bringing her experience in building scalable recruitment functions, leadership hiring, workforce planning, HR technology and data-driven talent strategies to the global media organization. She holds a PGDBA in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
