Arlington, Virginia, United States, December 2024 – Mel Glennon has been appointed as the Chief Learning Officer at StraighterLine, marking a significant milestone in her four-year tenure with the organization. In this role, Mel will lead strategic learning initiatives, drive curriculum innovation, and enhance StraighterLine’s educational offerings, aligning them with the evolving needs of learners and corporate partners worldwide.
Mel Glennon brings a rich background in educational leadership and digital learning innovation to her new position. Previously, she served as Vice President of Academics at StraighterLine, where she spearheaded the development of cutting-edge, self-paced digital content, expanded the company’s portfolio to over 80 general education courses, and led a team of more than 70 faculty members. Her efforts have driven significant revenue growth and established strategic partnerships within the ed-tech sector.

Before that, Mel was the Senior Director of Academic Operations at StraighterLine, where she optimized digital learning programs, ensured alignment with educational standards, and integrated technology into academic operations. Her leadership in this role contributed to operational excellence and transformative educational products.
Earlier in her career, Mel held faculty and administrative positions at institutions such as York College of Pennsylvania and York Country Day School, where she focused on curriculum design, faculty development, and student engagement in hybrid and online settings.
