London, England, United Kingdom, November 2025 — Melanie Elston has joined NTT DATA, Inc. as the Global Head of People & Culture, Technology Solutions, bringing with her nearly two decades of human resources leadership experience in global consulting and technology organizations. In this new role, she will be responsible for shaping people strategy, fostering culture transformation, and driving talent initiatives across NTT DATA’s global technology solutions business.
Prior to joining NTT DATA, Melanie Elston spent an illustrious 19-year tenure at Accenture, where she held multiple senior leadership roles in human resources and talent strategy. Most recently, she served as Head of HR Partnering and HR Lead for Strategy & Consulting, UKI, leading HR transformation and workforce strategy across the firm’s consulting business.
Before this, Melanie was HR Lead for Industry X, EMEA, where she played a key role in building an innovation-driven culture and designing talent strategies that supported large-scale digital and industrial transformation programs across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She also served as Talent Strategist for Global Enterprise Functions (Supply Chain, CFO & Customer), where she helped shape global workforce plans, leadership pipelines, and culture change initiatives across strategic corporate functions.
Earlier in her career, she held foundational HR roles at Speechly Bircham and House of Fraser, where she developed strong expertise in employee relations, performance management, and HR operations—building the groundwork for her subsequent rise as a global HR leader.
Melanie Elston holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Occupational Psychology from the University of Nottingham (2002–2003) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from University College London (1999–2002).
