Gurugram, Haryana, India, February 2026 — Metso has appointed Sujata Yadav as Vice President – Human Resources (MEI), strengthening its leadership team in India.
Sujata brings over 18 years of experience in global HR leadership across multi-site operations, engineering centres, manufacturing plants, and commercial teams. She has built a strong track record of aligning people strategy with business priorities and shaping future-ready workforces. Her expertise spans diversity, equity and inclusion, leadership development, succession planning, change management, workforce transformation, and HR digital systems. She is widely recognized for promoting cultural alignment, transparent communication, and sustainable organizational growth.
Prior to joining Metso, Sujata served as Head of Human Resources at Gates Corporation, where she led the people agenda across operations and business functions. Before that, she spent over five years at Smiths Group plc, progressing from HR Business Partner to Head of HR – India. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in transforming India operations into a strategic global hub by harmonizing policies, implementing digital HR models, establishing engineering and business services centres, launching flagship talent programs, and advancing APAC diversity goals.
Earlier in her career, Sujata held leadership roles at Emerson Network Power, DENSO, and UNO MINDA Group, where she strengthened workforce planning, digitized HR processes, built succession frameworks, and drove performance and engagement initiatives across large, diverse employee bases.
She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource from XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur and an MBA from Indian Institute of Planning and Management.
