Tokyo, Japan, January 2026 – Michael J. Case has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Josys, marking a significant leadership addition as the company scales its AI-driven identity governance and IT operations platform globally. In this role, he will lead Josys’ global people strategy, talent architecture, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness to support rapid growth and innovation.
At Josys in Tokyo, Japan, Michael J. Case was previously Global Head of People & Talent, following a brief stint as Head of Talent, where he built foundational people systems, strengthened leadership capability, and aligned talent strategy with Josys’ product and market expansion. His elevation to CHRO reflects continuity and confidence in his people-first, growth-oriented approach.
Alongside his operating roles, Michael J. Case has served as an Advisor to leading people-tech and talent platforms including PeopleTech Talent, PeopleTech Partners, Vervoe, and Findem, and as a Limited Partner with SemperVirens Venture Capital. Through these engagements, he has advised high-growth companies on people operations, product-market fit for HR technology, and workforce innovation.
Earlier, at Neptune People, where he was CEO, and at Meshd as Global Head of Partnerships, he focused on executive coaching, talent consulting, leadership search, and global partnerships—deepening his exposure to scaling organizations across the U.S. and Japan.
His prior senior leadership roles include VP Talent (Interim) at Spring Health, Vice President, Recruiting at Instacart, Director of Recruiting, Americas Operations at Uber, and Director of Recruiting, Japan at Salesforce—positions through which he led large-scale hiring, built inclusive recruiting engines, and supported hypergrowth across regions.
In the early stages of his career, Michael J. Case held leadership roles at Apple (Head of Executive Search and Staffing and HR Business Partner), Morgan Stanley (Head of Mid-Career Recruitment, Japan), and earlier consulting and executive search firms across Japan and Asia. He holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, grounding his people leadership in strong business and strategy fundamentals.
