Omaha, Nebraska, United States, November 2025 — Scooter’s Coffee has announced that Mikala Friedrich has assumed the expanded role of Chief Human Resources & Systems Officer, bringing together Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Communications, and Operations Training under one integrated leadership mandate.
In this newly evolved role, Mikala will focus on aligning people systems, technology platforms, organizational development, and enterprise communication to build a connected, scalable infrastructure that supports employees, franchise partners, and field operations across the rapidly expanding national footprint.
Prior to stepping into this role, Mikala served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Scooter’s Coffee, where she led enterprise-wide HR strategy, capability development, and culture-building initiatives during a period of accelerated growth.
Earlier, she held the role of Senior Vice President Human Resources, followed by Vice President Human Resources, where she led talent attraction, workforce planning, total rewards, talent management, HR technology integration, and cultural transformation efforts, supporting a nationwide expansion strategy and strengthening the organization’s scalable talent ecosystem.
Before joining the executive leadership track, Mikala served as Senior Director Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Manager – Talent Acquisition & Development at Scooter’s Coffee, where she played a pivotal role in building foundational HR practices, system governance, and organizational workforce capability.
Before joining Scooter’s Coffee, Mikala held HR leadership roles at Lindsay Corporation and Kiewit, supporting multiple business units, global teams, and core people strategy implementations. Earlier in her career, she worked with Hemphill Search Group and Target Corporation, gaining extensive experience in operations leadership, employer branding, HR business partnering, and talent strategy.
