Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 – Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals) has announced the appointment of Mr. Mohnish Varma as Chief Supply Chain Officer, marking a key milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation journey. With an extensive career spanning over three decades across leading manufacturing organizations, Mohnish brings a wealth of experience in supply chain strategy, manufacturing excellence, and operational transformation.
In his new role, Mohnish will lead the supply chain transformation agenda at Godrej Chemicals, focusing on manufacturing agility, operational excellence, sustainability, innovation, and resilience across the organization’s end-to-end supply chain ecosystem. His leadership will play a critical role in driving efficiency, enhancing responsiveness, and fostering collaboration as Godrej Chemicals continues to scale globally.
Prior to joining Godrej Chemicals, Mohnish Varma served as Vice President at Olam International Limited, where he spent nearly nine years leading key manufacturing and supply chain initiatives. Based in Lagos, he successfully drove process optimization, quality enhancements, and organizational capability building across Olam’s global operations. His leadership was instrumental in developing agile manufacturing systems and establishing best practices in supply chain management.
Before Olam, Mohnish was associated with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. for over five years, where he led multiple strategic manufacturing and operational initiatives across India. During his tenure, he contributed significantly to productivity improvement, production planning, and supply chain alignment across diverse beverage categories.
Earlier, Mohnish spent over a decade at Asian Paints, where he held progressive roles including General Works Manager for the Mumbai and Kasna Plants, and Senior Manager – Production. His tenure saw him spearhead end-to-end manufacturing operations, driving plant-level efficiency, capacity expansion, and people capability development. His early years at Asian Paints also included a focus on quality and operational excellence at the Ankleshwar facility.
Mohnish began his career with Marico, one of India’s most respected FMCG companies, where he spent over nine years across various functions including production, quality, and subcontract operations. His journey at Marico provided him a solid foundation in manufacturing and operations, shaping his future leadership trajectory in the supply chain domain.
