Remote, October 2024 – Monica Alexander has been promoted to Vice President, Global People Experience & Talent Acquisition at Oportun, where she will lead HR Business Partner, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition operations across the United States, India, and Mexico. In this role, Monica will continue to focus on enhancing the employee experience and talent acquisition strategies that align with Oportun’s mission of empowering its members to achieve financial success.
Monica joined Oportun in August 2021 as Director, People Experience Business Partner, where she led the HR Business Partner team supporting corporate and technology executives. She was later promoted to Sr. Director, Head of People Experience & Talent Acquisition, overseeing talent management programs and recruitment strategies while serving as a strategic business partner to the C-suite.
Before her tenure at Oportun, Monica spent over six years at Lowe’s Companies, Inc., where she held various HR leadership roles, including HR Business Partner – Global Technology. Her earlier career includes experience at Target, where she managed store operations, recruitment, and talent development for multiple locations.
