Denver, Colorado, United States, June 2025 – Monique Mahler has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Snell & Wilmer, taking on leadership of the firm’s people strategy at a pivotal time of growth and transformation. In her new capacity, Monique will oversee HR operations and culture-building initiatives across all of Snell & Wilmer’s 17 locations in the U.S. and Mexico, shaping policies, talent management, and workforce engagement for the firm’s 500+ attorneys and staff.
Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Monique Mahler was the Associate Director of Human Resources – Texas at Kirkland & Ellis, where she provided strategic HR leadership for over 700 employees and played a key role in transitioning the firm to a global HR Business Partner model. Her impact included implementing leadership development programs, optimizing compensation strategies, accelerating recruitment processes, and introducing professional development pathways—contributing to improved employee-manager alignment and reduced turnover.
Before her time at Kirkland & Ellis, Monique spent over six years at BakerHostetler, first as Human Resources Manager and then as Regional Human Resources Manager. There, she spearheaded HR strategies for the Houston and Dallas offices, drove recruiting and retention improvements, launched scalable HR initiatives, and led workforce planning for the firm’s Texas expansion.
Earlier in her career, Monique held operational and HR leadership positions at Blizzard & Nabers, LLP (Director of Operations), Doyle Raizner LLP (Firm Administrator), and Rapid Record Retrieval (Office Manager/Director of Operations). She began her career as a Paralegal at Sedgwick LLP and holds a Master of Science in Legal Administration (MSLA) from the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law.
