Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, July 2025 — Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd has announced the appointment of Mukul Srivastava as its new Chief Executive Officer. A veteran in the electrical industry, Mukul brings over 30 years of executive leadership experience with deep expertise across the transformers and switchgear domain. His appointment comes at a time when the company is witnessing a surge in profitability and market expansion, underscoring its commitment to innovation and operational excellence in India’s power infrastructure sector.
Mukul joins Transformers & Rectifiers from CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, where he most recently served as President – Switchgear Division, overseeing strategic operations in Nashik. Prior to this, he was associated with Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited as Business Head – Prime Power Solutions, where he drove significant business growth in the power segment.
Earlier in his career, Mukul held multiple leadership roles at CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, including Vice President – Switchgear, Senior General Manager, and General Manager. In these roles, he carried full P&L responsibility for medium and extra-high voltage switchgear businesses and was instrumental in expanding product portfolios and market reach.
Before that, Mukul served as CEO of CG Lucy Switchgear Ltd., a joint venture of CG with Lucy Switchgear UK, where he successfully led the manufacturing and business development of Ring Main Units. His earlier roles at Crompton Greaves included stints in divisional marketing, production, and leadership of the MV switchgear business.
An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, with a Master’s in Industrial and Management Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Mukul is expected to steer the company into its next phase of sustainable growth and technological leadership.
