In this newly created position, Nalin will lead the implementation of AI technologies to streamline editorial workflows, deploy innovative tools like Network18’s proprietary AI engine ‘Answers,’ and oversee training initiatives to integrate AI seamlessly into newsroom practices.
In addition to his new role, Nalin continues to serve as Managing Editor at moneycontrol.com, where he has been instrumental since late 2023 in reshaping business journalism and digital editorial strategy. His dual roles position him uniquely to champion ethical AI integration in journalism while ensuring editorial quality and factual accuracy remain uncompromised.
Nalin previously held the position of Group Consulting Editor at Network18, contributing to strategic editorial transformation initiatives. His earlier roles span a broad spectrum across media and academia. He served as Dean and Professor at the School of Modern Media at UPES, and held senior fellowships at prestigious institutions such as the Institute of South Asian Studies (NUS) and the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.
With over two decades of experience, Nalin has held prominent editorial positions including Executive Editor at The Times of India, Managing Editor at India Today TV, and various journalistic roles at NDTV, Times Now, and Zee News. His tenure in international institutions such as The Global Fund and UNAIDS further complements his multidisciplinary profile, bringing together journalism, public policy, and research.
