Singapore & Mumbai, India, September 2025 – Narendra Varde has taken on a new role as President Asia Pacific at IMCD Group, leading the company’s operations across ANZ, India, China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. In this elevated role, he will drive regional strategy, growth, and customer engagement across one of the most diverse and fast-growing markets for IMCD.
Narendra Varde has been associated with IMCD Group for over two years, initially serving as Managing Director in India. In this capacity, he led strategic operations and growth initiatives from the Mumbai office, laying the foundation for broader Asia Pacific leadership.
Prior to joining IMCD, he served as Managing Director at Roche Diagnostics India and Neighbouring Markets for over two years, where he was responsible for overseeing commercial performance and strategic growth in the healthcare diagnostics segment across South Asia.
Before that, he spent a decade at Abbott, where he held several senior leadership roles. As General Manager & Country Head – India, he had full P&L responsibility for the Diagnostics business across India and Nepal. His earlier roles at Abbott included Regional Country Manager – UK, France & Ireland, Marketing Director – Asia Pacific Japan, and Commercial Director – Strategy & Marketing, Asia Pacific including Japan. Across these assignments, he contributed significantly to market expansion, portfolio growth, and commercial strategy across geographies including Europe, Asia, and ANZ.
In earlier stages of his career, Narendra held key roles at organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Oxygen Consultancy, and Mastek Ltd. These roles helped shape his capabilities in project management, business development, and cross-functional leadership across industries such as pharmaceuticals, consulting, and technology.
He holds an MBA with a Marketing Specialization from HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading business schools.
