Gurugram, Haryana, India, January 2026 – Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) has announced the appointment of Naveen Kumar as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) – Auto Division, marking a significant leadership milestone in strengthening people strategy across its automotive glass business.
With more than 13 years of progressive leadership at AIS, Naveen brings deep institutional knowledge and hands-on expertise in manufacturing HR, industrial relations, workforce planning and organisational development. In his new role, he will lead the people and culture agenda for AIS’s Auto Division, focusing on building future-ready talent capability, strengthening shop-floor excellence, and aligning people strategy with AIS’s growth ambitions in the automotive segment.
Career Journey
Before his elevation to CHRO – Auto Division, Naveen Kumar served as General Manager – Corporate HR at AIS, where he contributed to strengthening group-level HR governance, talent frameworks and leadership capability across businesses.
He earlier held the role of Deputy General Manager – HR, leading core HR operations, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness initiatives, followed by Manager – HR, where he supported large manufacturing operations across AIS plants.
Naveen began his long association with AIS as Deputy Manager – HR, building deep expertise in industrial relations, people operations and compliance within high-volume manufacturing environments.
Prior to joining AIS, he gained early HR experience at Halonix Ltd, building a strong foundation in people operations and manufacturing HR practices.
