Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, October 2025 — Medical Review Institute of America (MRIoA) has appointed Nilesh Shah as Chief Technology Officer, where he will lead the company’s IT and technology organization, overseeing modernization, product development, cloud migration, and information security governance. In this role, he will drive MRIoA’s growth strategies through digital innovation and advanced technology integration to further strengthen its position as a leader in clinical review and utilization management solutions.
With over two decades of experience in technology leadership across the healthcare and enterprise technology sectors, Nilesh brings deep expertise in cloud transformation, artificial intelligence, and security-driven infrastructure.
Before joining MRIoA, Nilesh served as Chief Technology Officer and Head of Engineering at Merge by Merative, where he led technology and software engineering functions, spearheading product modernization and enterprise imaging advancements. Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years at Change Healthcare, where as Vice President, Enterprise Technology, he managed large-scale technology portfolios supporting over $400 million in revenue. He successfully led initiatives such as multi-product consolidation, cloud migration, AI/ML model deployment, and the implementation of Agile, DevOps, and SAFe methodologies.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Capario, MedAvant Healthcare Solutions, ProxyMed, MedUnite, and Quovadx, where he contributed to developing scalable healthcare platforms and improving interoperability across systems. His career also includes engineering roles at WebMD and Cabletron Systems, where he began his professional journey in software development and enterprise architecture.
