Kolkata, West Bengal, India, July 2024 – Nirmal Uday has joined Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited as Chief Operating Officer, bringing extensive experience in the steel industry and strategic business management. Nirmal will be responsible for overseeing operations and driving growth at Shyam Metalics.
Nirmal most recently served as National Head Retail at JSW Steel Coated Products Limited, where he led retail operations and drove market expansion. Prior to this role, he was an Advisor and Chief Executive Officer at Jindal (India) Limited, managing strategic initiatives and business planning.
Previously, Nirmal served as Chief Executive Officer at Colorshine Coated Private Limited, successfully completing a greenfield coil coating project in record time. At National Steel & Agro Industries Ltd, he held multiple roles including Head – SCM, Raw Material Procurement, Business Planning & Costing and Sr. Vice President Marketing, handling exports and domestic sales.
Nirmal’s career also includes significant roles at Global Steel Holdings Limited (Ispat Group), Essar Steel Ltd, and Ispat Industries Ltd, where he managed marketing strategies, customer relationship management, and sales operations, contributing to substantial business growth and market expansion.
