Phoenix, Arizona, United States, March 2025 – CopperPoint Insurance Company, a leading provider of workers’ compensation and commercial insurance solutions operating across 21 states, has announced the appointment of Kellen Booher as its new President & Chief Operating Officer, effective March 31, 2025. Booher joins from Chubb, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Head of Consumer & Small Commercial for key international markets.
In his new role, Booher will report directly to Marc Schmittlein, CEO, CopperPoint. This strategic appointment is part of a planned leadership succession, with Booher set to succeed Schmittlein as CEO in the first quarter of 2026. The two leaders will work closely over the next year to ensure a seamless transition. Schmittlein, who was appointed Executive Chair of the CopperPoint Board of Directors in 2024, will remain as Chair following his retirement from the CEO position.
As President & COO, Booher will focus on driving CopperPoint’s ongoing transformation and growth, leading initiatives in underwriting and claims excellence, operational efficiency, customer experience, and talent development. His role also includes strengthening the company’s competitive positioning through data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Booher brings a rich background in product, distribution, digital transformation, and analytics, having previously led major initiatives at both Chubb and The Travelers Companies.
