Oisin O’Gogain has been announced as the new Chief People Officer for Aon in the UK and Ireland, a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s human resources and organizational strategy across these key regions.
This appointment comes after O’Gogain’s noteworthy tenure at Aon, spanning nearly 12 years, where he has consistently demonstrated leadership excellence and an in-depth understanding of global human resources management.
O’Gogain’s journey with Aon also included a significant assignment in the USA as the HR Director for Leading Aon United, where for six years, he played a crucial role in unifying the company’s international efforts and enhancing cross-functional collaboration. This international experience has provided him with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of managing a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce.
Prior to his current role, O’Gogain served as the Chief People Officer for the Nordics and Ireland Sub-region & EMEA Wealth Solutions at Aon, a position he held for over five years. During this period, he was instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that supported the company’s growth and employee engagement across the region. His expertise in managing complex HR functions and his strategic approach to organizational development have been key factors in his successful track record.
Before joining Aon, O’Gogain honed his HR skills and expertise at EBS Limited in Ireland, where he served as an HR Consultant for nearly five years. His responsibilities there included overseeing HR practices for various departments, demonstrating a strong capability in employee relations, compensation and benefits, and project management within a unionized environment. His efforts have consistently focused on fostering a positive work culture and ensuring the alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives.
