Based in Sheffield and operating in hybrid mode, Paul steps into this strategic role with a distinguished record of more than 30 years in financial and operational management, poised to elevate Synectics’ global growth trajectory in security and surveillance technology.
Paul’s career includes over 12 years as CFO at CloudCall Group plc, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the cloud communications business through integrated software, telephony, and CRM-driven messaging services. His leadership extended to consulting and advisory through PJW Financial Ltd, and international CFO experience at Columbus IMEA, managing Microsoft partner operations across India, the Middle East, and Africa.
Earlier in his trajectory, Paul was Group Financial Controller & Deputy CFO at Ciber International, leading transformative initiatives: multimarket acquisitions, ERP rollouts (SAP across 13 countries), IFRS/US GAAP implementations, KPI frameworks, group-wide forecasting, entity streamlining, global treasury, and SOX control compliance. He also served as Interim CFO, Group Financial Controller at ECsoft, and earlier held analytical roles at IBM Global Services, EER Systems, DDB Needham, Boeing, TBWA\Chiat\Day, British Rail, and Railtrack.
In his new role at Synectics, Paul will steer financial strategy to support the company’s mission of delivering integrated security technologies—such as the Synergy platform and COEX cameras—across complex sectors including critical infrastructure, transportation, energy, and public safety. His deep expertise in system integration, cost optimization, international operations, and organizational transformation positions him to drive long-term strategic impact.
