Aylesford, England, United Kingdom, November 2024 – Peter Thomas has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Gallagher Group Ltd, bringing extensive experience in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. As CFO, Peter will oversee the company’s financial strategies and operations, supporting its integrated services across aggregates, groundworks, civil engineering, and property development.
Peter most recently served as Group Financial Controller at Laing O’Rourke, where he managed group reporting, FP&A, treasury functions, and key financial processes for over five years. His leadership included overseeing audits, refinancing, cash flow forecasting, and supply chain management.
Prior to this, he held the position of Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis at Laing O’Rourke, leading a team of 28 in managing group performance and liquidity while supporting key refinancing initiatives.
Peter’s financial expertise was further honed during his tenure as Assistant Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank, where he was instrumental in global FX infrastructure projects, regulatory reporting, and process improvements.
He began his career at KPMG UK, gaining invaluable experience in financial services audit and restructuring advisory, with a focus on independent business reviews and insolvency work.
