Hyderabad, Telangana, India, July 2025 – Pijus Kanti Das has joined Amara Raja Group as Sr. General Manager & Business HR Head, where he will spearhead human capital strategy, talent development, and business-aligned HR initiatives across key operations of the conglomerate. His leadership will play a pivotal role in advancing the Group’s people-first approach while driving organizational effectiveness and transformation.
Prior to this, Pijus Kanti Das served as Head – HR at TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited, a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha. Over a tenure of nearly four years, he led HR strategy for a workforce of over 3,000 employees across an expansive operational area. His role involved partnering with leadership on organizational capability, culture building, and business transformation efforts.
Before his tenure at TPWODL, he spent more than ten years with Larsen & Toubro, where he held multiple HR leadership roles across business verticals and geographies. In his final assignment as DGM – Corporate HR, he managed strategic HR projects at the Group level and previously contributed significantly to setting up HR processes for L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd., one of the world’s largest public-private partnership projects in the metro rail sector.
Earlier in his career, he served in HR roles at M. N. Dastur & Co., Tata Power, and Larsen & Toubro ECC Division, where he gained extensive experience in generalist HR, talent management, training, and organization development. He also worked briefly in Internal Audit at Diageo, contributing to process improvement across zonal offices and manufacturing units.
Pijus holds a PGDM in Human Resources from Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) and has completed an Executive Education Program in Strategic HRM & Change from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business.
