Pip Cantrall Appointed as Director of Organisational Development at CSIRO

Canberra, ACT, Australia, May 2025 — Pip Cantrall has been appointed as Director of Organisational Development at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency. In this strategic leadership role, Pip will be responsible for advancing the agency’s internal capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation, and shaping development frameworks that empower CSIRO’s scientific talent to solve some of the world’s greatest challenges.

Prior to joining CSIRO, Pip served as Deputy Chief People Officer (Talent & Capability) at The Australian National University (ANU). During her tenure, she led the Talent and Capability team, implementing a pioneering employee listening strategy, redesigning the performance management approach, scaling leadership development programs, and driving inclusive and equitable practices across the university.

Before ANU, Pip was with HP in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she led a global team as Head of Talent & Performance. Her contributions included building visibility into the talent pipeline, introducing advanced analytics for predictive insights, and supporting the CHRO in executive succession planning and board-level discussions.

Earlier in her career at HP, Pip also held the role of Director – Talent Management Business Lead, where she collaborated with HR leaders to deliver executive development and organizational design solutions for the global COO and business functions.

Pip’s foundational experience was built at Oracle, where she spent nearly nine years in various global roles including Program Director and Senior Organizational Development Consultant, designing high-impact talent strategies for top talent and senior leaders across regions including Asia Pacific and Europe.

With her deep expertise in organizational development, talent strategy, and leadership transformation, Pip is well-positioned to strengthen CSIRO’s internal capabilities and cultivate a high-performance culture aligned with the agency’s bold scientific mission.
