Southfield, Michigan, United States, March 2026 — Piston Group has announced the appointment of Louis Stoney as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, Stoney will lead the company’s finance function, supporting Piston Group’s continued focus on building and scaling world-class manufacturing and design businesses.
Prior to stepping into the CFO position, Stoney most recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Wolverine Advanced Materials from January 2025 to March 2026. Before that, he spent over two years with Piston Group as Vice President of Finance (September 2022 to January 2025), helping guide finance leadership across the organization.
Stoney has also held senior finance responsibilities within the platform’s operating businesses, including as Vice President Finance at Piston Automotive. Earlier in his career with Piston Group, he served as Chief Compliance Officer, and held progressive finance leadership roles including Director of Finance and Corporate Controller, strengthening his deep understanding of the organization’s financial governance and operating model.
Before joining Piston Group, Stoney built strong financial leadership foundations through roles including Controller at First Mercury Financial Corporation, Manager at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, and Senior Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
