Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, July 2026 — Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. has announced the appointment of Francesco Milicia as its new Marketing Director, effective 1 September 2026. He succeeds Christian Mastro, who has transitioned to the role of Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini America. Milicia joins the Italian supercar manufacturer with more than two decades of international leadership experience spanning sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and business transformation within the automotive sector.
Francesco Milicia most recently served as Vice President, Global Sales and After Sales and Member of the Board of Management at Ducati Motor Holding, where he has led the company’s worldwide sales and after-sales operations since 2018. During his nearly 20-year association with Ducati, he held a succession of senior leadership positions including Supply Chain Director and Member of the Board of Management, Managing Director of Ducati Motor Thailand, and earlier operational leadership roles supporting the Chief Executive Officer, manufacturing, and maintenance. His international experience has seen him lead operations across Europe and Asia while contributing significantly to Ducati’s global expansion and customer-centric growth strategy.
Prior to his leadership roles at Ducati, Milicia built a distinguished career across several industrial and engineering organisations. He served as Board Member Sales at Rendamax BV, where he held worldwide export responsibility and delivered significant international business growth. He was also Managing Director of ELCO Italy, successfully leading the business from loss to profitability while improving market share, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. Earlier, at the Ariston Thermo Group, he served as Chairman of the China Industry Committee and General Manager, Thermowatt China, overseeing large-scale manufacturing operations, financial performance, and business expansion across the Chinese and Asian markets.
Milicia’s career reflects deep expertise in international business leadership, operational excellence, lean manufacturing, customer experience, and commercial strategy. To further strengthen his executive capabilities, he completed Marketing Executive Education at the London Business School, including a seminar on Brand Strategy at Saatchi & Saatchi, and subsequently completed the Sales Executive Education (LESF) Programme at INSEAD. His combination of global commercial leadership, operational expertise, and executive education makes him well positioned to lead Lamborghini’s global marketing strategy as the iconic luxury automotive brand continues its transformation and international growth.
