Sharp India has recently appointed Sujai Karampuri as its new Chairman, a strategic move aimed at driving innovation and growth for the company in the competitive tech industry. Karampuri, who took office in March 2024, brings a profound legacy of over 24 years of technology and leadership experience to his new role at Sharp India.
Prior to his current role, Karampuri was pivotal in spearheading several high-impact projects across India. As the CEO of T Works from December 2017 to December 2023, he established India’s largest prototyping facility, enhancing capabilities in mechanical, electromechanical, and electronics product development. Concurrently, he served as the Managing Director & CEO at Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation Ltd, where he led the development of a comprehensive high-speed broadband network designed to connect thousands of villages and millions of homes across Telangana, significantly advancing the region’s infrastructure.
From January 2015 to December 2023, Karampuri also directed the Electronics & Semiconductor sector under the Government of Telangana, significantly boosting the state’s industrial promotion and connectivity infrastructure. His earlier roles include Founder and CEO of Sloka Telecom, where he developed advanced broadband solutions, and technical positions at Sasken Communication Technologies and Alcatel, where he was integral in developing telecommunications infrastructure across various global markets.
