Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, April 2025 – Pranesh Kumar Kamatagi has taken on a new leadership role as Vice President – Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at Bonfiglioli India, a global leader in power transmission and automation solutions. In this pivotal role, he will oversee procurement strategy, supplier relationships, and operational excellence for the company’s manufacturing and automation ecosystem in India.
Prior to joining Bonfiglioli, Pranesh Kumar Kamatagi spent over 12 years at Ingersoll Rand India, most recently serving as Director – Procurement. There, he managed a $400M spend across 16 plants and two warehouses, leading initiatives that significantly enhanced EBITDA and delivered multi-year synergy savings through post-M&A integration and strategic sourcing models.
Earlier, he served as Category Transformation Leader – MEIA at Ingersoll Rand, focusing on consolidating supplier bases, improving supply chain robustness, and enhancing supplier quality across regions. Prior to that, as Regional Supplier Quality & Development Leader, he focused on process improvements and supplier alignment across the enterprise.
He also held key leadership roles at Volvo Trucks India, Garrett – Advancing Motion, Continental, and IFB Automotive, where he spearheaded supplier quality and vendor development programs, supply chain localization, and greenfield project execution. He began his career at BPL Limited, where he was responsible for incoming and shop quality control in plant operations.
