Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 – People Home Finance Limited, a new-age housing finance company focused on affordable home loans, has announced the appointment of Priya Prasad as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Priya will lead the company’s human capital strategy, strengthen organizational capabilities, and drive people-centric transformation aligned with the company’s growth vision across India.
With more than two decades of rich HR leadership experience across financial services, insurance, and technology industries, Priya Prasad brings deep expertise in organizational effectiveness, talent management, people strategy, and change leadership.
Before joining People Home Finance Limited, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at IndoStar Capital Finance Ltd., where she led strategic HR initiatives that supported business transformation and talent alignment across the organization. Her leadership was instrumental in building a performance-driven culture and enhancing workforce capabilities in a rapidly evolving financial services environment.
Earlier, Priya held the position of Deputy Vice President – Human Resources at Axis Securities Limited (Axis Direct), where she led Talent Management and HR Business Partnering. During her tenure, she focused on leadership development, capability building, and employee engagement strategies to strengthen the company’s growth trajectory in the retail financial space.
Prior to Axis, she spent over six years at SBI General Insurance, where she rose to the position of Chief Manager – Human Resources. In this capacity, she led Performance Management and Employee Effectiveness, designing HR frameworks and policies that drove employee productivity and organizational alignment.
Her earlier roles at Repro India Limited, Datamatics, and M2S Consulting helped her build a strong foundation in HR operations, workforce planning, and resourcing strategies across both IT and corporate environments. Throughout her career, Priya has been known for her ability to blend strategic foresight with empathetic leadership to create inclusive, high-performance cultures.
Priya holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM) and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from Ranchi Women’s College.
