Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 — Pulkit Mathur has been named Head of Product and Growth Marketing at Spotify India, marking a strategic move for the global audio streaming platform as it continues to deepen its market presence and scale user engagement across India. In his new role, Pulkit leads the product marketing and growth initiatives, driving the convergence of consumer insights, brand storytelling, and data-driven activation to accelerate adoption and strengthen Spotify’s leadership in the digital audio landscape.
Pulkit has been an integral part of Spotify since August 2021, previously serving as Marketing Manager, where he played a key role in launching major national campaigns such as “Music Magic Hai” and “Sound of Unity”, which resonated deeply with diverse Indian audiences. His work has consistently focused on strategic planning, integrated campaigns, and market-specific activations.
Before joining Spotify, Pulkit was Senior Brand Manager at Tata Sky (now Tata Play), where he led several high-impact national ATL campaigns including Khidki and Taur Vakhri, driving significant brand and business gains. He also spearheaded the No Samjhauta campaign, which saw business growth of 89% over a critical quarter, and was instrumental in codifying the brand’s purpose and visual identity in partnership with Ogilvy.
Pulkit began his journey with Tata Sky as Area Sales Manager and later held roles in marketing and strategic planning, building a well-rounded foundation in both distribution and brand communication. He started his career in the automotive sector at Hero MotoCorp, where he contributed to R&D and vendor development projects, and has also interned with Unilever, working on social mission initiatives for Radiant (RIN).
With over a decade of experience spanning sales, marketing, strategic planning, and brand management across sectors, Pulkit brings a unique blend of analytical depth and creative leadership to his new role at Spotify.
