London, England, United Kingdom, August 2025 – Rachael Taylor-Jenkins has been appointed as Chief People Officer at The Premier League, the top tier of England’s football pyramid and one of the most competitive and widely followed sports leagues in the world. In her new role, she will lead the league’s people strategy, talent development, and organisational culture, driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that align with the Premier League’s mission to inspire fans, communities, and partners globally.
Prior to joining The Premier League, Taylor-Jenkins served at Experian for 19 years in a series of senior leadership positions. Most recently, she was Group HR Director, Central Functions for four years, overseeing HR strategies for core business operations. Before that, she held the role of Global Talent, Culture, Diversity and Engagement Director for five years, where she led international programmes to strengthen workplace culture and employee engagement. Her earlier roles at Experian included Global Reward, Mobility and Pensions Director for over five years and Global Talent Director for more than four years, making her a pivotal contributor to the company’s global people agenda.
Earlier in her career, she spent nearly seven years at Barclays as UK Banking HR Director – Corporate and Retail, where she provided HR leadership across multiple banking segments during a period of significant organisational transformation. She also worked as Resourcing and Development Director at Whitbread, leading talent acquisition and development strategies for one of the UK’s largest hospitality companies.
Taylor-Jenkins began her career in HR with roles at Coca-Cola Schweppes Beverages as Senior Personnel Manager and at W H Smith as Personnel Officer, gaining foundational expertise in people management, employee relations, and organisational development. In addition to her corporate leadership experience, she currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Poppy Factory, a UK charity supporting veterans into employment.
