Singapore, January 2026 – Rajan Kalantre has been appointed as Director – Human Resources, Singapore at Abbott, taking on responsibility for shaping Abbott’s people strategy, leadership development, organisational effectiveness and workforce transformation agenda across its Singapore operations.
Rajan Kalantre has spent over nineteen years with Abbott, building one of the most comprehensive HR leadership careers within the organisation. Prior to this appointment, he served as Director – Human Resources, India, where he worked closely with senior leadership and the board of Abbott India Limited, aligning talent strategy with business priorities, succession planning, workforce readiness and long-term organisational health.
Before assuming the Director HR India role, he served as Associate Director – Human Resources, leading HR for Abbott Nutrition and Corporate Functions across India and neighbouring markets. In this role, he played a key part in building digital, e-commerce, analytics, CRM and IT talent capabilities while strengthening leadership hiring, consumerisation strategies and organisational agility.
Earlier, he was appointed Head of Human Resources for Abbott’s Medical Devices and Diagnostics divisions in India, where he led large-scale business restructurings, operational model transformations, acquisitions, integrations and new vertical launches including Abbott Point of Care, Transfusion, Hematology and Clinical functions.
His career progression within Abbott also includes leadership roles as Senior Business HR Consultant, Human Resources Business Consultant, Manager – Human Resources, Assistant Manager – Human Resources, Associate – Human Resources and Management Trainee, during which he contributed to cross-border market expansions, organisational turnarounds, employee relations transformation, merger integrations and foundational HR capability building.
Rajan Kalantre holds a Certificate in Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School Online, has completed the General Management Programme at the Indian School of Business, and holds an MBA in Human Resources and Marketing from Nagpur University.
