Boston, Massachusetts, United States, July 2025 — Bain & Company has announced the appointment of Rebecca (Maescher) Freiwald as Vice President, Global Talent Management. This promotion reflects Bain’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a world-class workforce and strengthening its global people strategy.
Rebecca has been an integral part of Bain for over 11 years, progressively advancing through multiple leadership roles in HR and talent. Most recently, she served as Senior Director, Global HR and Talent, where she advised Bain’s global functional professional departments across 65 offices and oversaw strategic talent planning, DEI initiatives, performance management, and HR policy design.
Earlier in her Bain journey, she held roles as Director, Global HR and Talent, Senior HR Business Partner, and HR Business Partner, building a strong track record in people management, organizational development, and compensation planning. Her work has been instrumental in scaling HR operations and enhancing the employee experience across the firm.
Before joining Bain & Company, Rebecca worked at Strategic Offsites Group as a Consultant, where she helped senior executives drive strategy, alignment, and business transformation. She also previously served as a Business-Education Partnership Coordinator at both the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and Los Angeles Unified School District, driving impactful public-private partnership programs in the education sector.
Her early public service experience includes time at The White House, where she served as Senior Scheduler in the Office of Presidential Appointments and Scheduling, and earlier as a White House Intern.
Rebecca holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she concentrated in strategic management, marketing, and finance and was selected as a Dean’s Admissions Fellow. She is also an alumna of Georgetown University, where she earned her undergraduate degree.
With this new role, Rebecca will lead Bain’s global talent management function, overseeing programs that attract, develop, and retain top-tier professionals around the world.
