Greater Minneapolis–St. Paul, Minnesota, United States, June 2025 – Rebecca Lieberman has been promoted to Vice President, People Team – Optum Financial and Optum Insight at Optum, marking a significant expansion of her leadership responsibilities within the organization. In this elevated role, Rebecca will lead the people strategy across both divisions, continuing to shape Optum’s talent vision in the highly dynamic healthcare and fintech sectors.
Rebecca has been with Optum for nearly four years, steadily advancing in various senior HR roles. Most recently, she served as Vice President, People Team – Optum Financial Services, where she helped drive workforce transformation in support of the company’s goal to improve affordability, accessibility, and outcomes in healthcare. Prior to that, she was Vice President, People Team – Optum Technology and Corporate Functions, leading HR across multiple global support functions and partnering closely with the Chief Digital and Technology Officer for UnitedHealth Group, supporting over 50,000 employees globally.
Before joining Optum, Rebecca held senior HR leadership roles at Radisson Hotel Group for over five years, including Chief Human Resources Officer and Vice President, Human Resources. She led global HR strategy for the Americas and Asia Pacific, implemented a 5-year organizational effectiveness roadmap, and played a key role during the company’s acquisition by HNA. Her earlier leadership at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group also saw her spearhead large-scale change management, talent development, and global HR integration.
Prior to her hospitality sector experience, Rebecca was Owner and HR Consultant at RTL Consulting, supporting leaders through M&A-driven change. She began her career at Target, where she spent over 11 years in progressive HR roles, including HR Business Partner, HR Operations Manager, and Executive Recruiter. During this time, she led several high-impact staffing and HR system transformations supporting diverse corporate and operational functions.
