Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain, September 2025 – Ricardo Guerrero has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & Board Member at PowerCo Spain, a Volkswagen Group company driving the future of sustainable battery technology. In his new role, Ricardo will lead human resources strategy, organizational development, and talent initiatives to support PowerCo’s mission of building a greener energy future through large-scale battery innovation and production.
Before joining PowerCo, Ricardo spent over five years at Volkswagen de México, most recently as Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, he oversaw strategic HR planning, business transformation, and workforce management across one of Volkswagen’s key international operations. Earlier at Volkswagen de México, he held senior HR leadership positions including Human Resources, Culture & Diversity Director and Labor Relations & HR Policies Director, where he drove diversity programs, cultural change, and employee relations strategy.
Previously, Ricardo served as Director of Organizational Development at Volkswagen of America in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he focused on leadership development, organizational capability building, and strategic workforce planning in the U.S. market.
His earlier career includes more than a decade at Volkswagen de México, where he steadily progressed through roles such as Director de Recursos Humanos, Director de Capital Humano, Gerente de Recursos Humanos, and Gerente de Atracción de Talento. Starting as an HR Trainee in 2001, Ricardo built a career rooted in deep expertise across all facets of HR, including talent acquisition, labor relations, organizational design, and strategic leadership.
