Granville, Ohio, United States, July 2024 – Roland Gonzales has taken on the role of Executive Director of Human Resources at Denison University. Bringing extensive experience in human resources management, Roland is set to drive HR strategies and initiatives to support the university’s continued growth and success.
Roland Gonzales has been with Denison University for 1 year and 4 months. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director of Talent Management, where he excelled in succession planning, recruiting, employee engagement, coaching, and training & development.
Before joining Denison University, Roland experienced a career transition, during which he started his HR consulting LLC while searching for his next full-time opportunity.
At Dayton Metro Library, he worked as the Human Resources Director, managing project management, collective bargaining, leadership, labor relations, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
Roland’s earlier experience includes serving as a Human Resources Officer for the City of Columbus, where he directed HR practices for the Department of Public Utilities, supported around 1,200 employees, and promoted positive workplace relations. He also chaired a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion steering team.
Additionally, Roland held the role of Training, Development, and Operations Manager at Continental Message Solution, where he was responsible for the operational oversight of a metrics-driven call center and led performance management, training & development, and recruitment efforts.
