Netherlands/United Kingdom, August 2024 – Ronald Schellekens has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Ice Cream at Unilever. With over 25 years of experience in HR leadership, Ronald brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, where he will oversee the HR functions for Unilever’s standalone Ice Cream business, including renowned brands like Wall’s, Magnum, and Ben & Jerry’s.
Ronald Schellekens joins Unilever with a distinguished career in human resources. Prior to this role, he served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at PepsiCo for over five years, where he led the company’s global HR function, including talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. Under his leadership, PepsiCo received several accolades, including being named a Global Top Employer.
Before PepsiCo, Ronald spent nearly a decade at Vodafone as the CHRO/Group HR Director, where he played a key role in transforming the company into a total communications provider. His earlier career includes senior HR roles at Royal Dutch Shell, where he was the EVP Human Resources for the global Downstream division, and a long tenure at AT&T as HR Director.
