United Arab Emirates, June 2024 – Roudaina Haddad Hachem has joined American Hospital Dubai as the new Chief Operating Officer. With a rich background in healthcare administration and human resources, Roudaina is set to enhance the operational efficiency and strategic growth of the hospital.
Roudaina Haddad Hachem has been with American Hospital Dubai for over three years. Prior to her current role, she served as the Chief of Satellite Clinics, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Assistant Chief Operating Officer, where she oversaw the efficient operations and expansions of the hospital’s seven satellite clinics. She ensured their growth and development, managed financial budgets, and maintained patient-centric clinical services. Additionally, she was responsible for the overall productivity, performance management, and profitability of the reporting operations departments, working closely with senior managers to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal discipline in the hospital.
In her capacity as Chief Human Resources Officer and Assistant Chief Operating Officer, Roudaina handled the entire Human Resources function across the hospital and its satellite clinics. Her responsibilities included recruitment, retention, compensation and benefits, training management, performance management, onboarding, rewards and recognition, manpower planning, employee engagement, and payroll administration. She ensured operational excellence by delivering high-quality, cost-effective care and services, overseeing various operational departments including supply chain, call center, outpatient clinics, admissions office, medical imaging, lab, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, FMD, housekeeping, human resources, special projects, and hospital-wide initiatives.
Before that, Roudaina was the Human Resources Director at American Hospital Dubai, where she developed a long-term HR strategic plan, initiated yearly staffing plans, oversaw performance management processes, and devised and maintained rewards programs. She also managed the monthly payroll, reviewed job evaluations, and ensured compliance with accreditation requirements.
Prior to her tenure at American Hospital Dubai, Roudaina worked as a Senior Consultant, Human Resources at Universal Hospital Management Services (UHMS) in Lebanon. She provided Human Capital Management advisory services to healthcare institutions, assisting in integrating effective HR processes, programs, and practices as part of a comprehensive HR strategy. She also conducted staffing plans, devised recruitment and retention programs, and enhanced employee engagement and satisfaction.
Roudaina’s career also includes a significant tenure at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, where she held various HR leadership roles over 18 years. She developed and executed HR strategies, managed manpower planning, oversaw performance management, devised rewards programs, and ensured compliance with accreditation requirements.
