Helsinki, Finland, April 2024 – Sympa, the leader in HR solutions across the Nordics, has announced the appointment of Saara Somersalmi as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Somersalmi brings over two decades of extensive HR management and leadership experience to Sympa, a company renowned for its innovative HR platform.

Before her latest role at Sympa, Somersalmi served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Oilon, where she led HR and People functions to support the company’s international growth. Her strategic initiatives were pivotal in aligning human resources with global business objectives, enhancing organizational performance.
Prior to her tenure at Oilon, she was the Chief Culture Officer and COO of People Services at Gallant Finland from January 2021 to June 2022. There, she was instrumental in improving employee Net Promoter Scores (eNPS) and overseeing HR operations across the payroll and HR consulting divisions.
Somersalmi also made significant contributions as the Head of HR at Swappie, where from March 2020 to January 2021, she spearheaded initiatives to improve workforce management and HR strategies that supported rapid organizational growth and scalability.
