Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, July 2025 – Salehin Basir has joined Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) as Chief People Officer, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career in human capital development and public service. In his new role, Salehin will lead the hospital’s people strategy, talent development, and workforce planning efforts to support JPMC’s mission of delivering world-class, patient-centered healthcare in Brunei.
Prior to this appointment, Salehin spent approximately 12 years at Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd, where he rose through the ranks from Human Capital Development Associate to Senior Human Capital Development Manager. In this capacity, he played a key role in capability building, succession planning, and talent optimization for some of Brunei’s most strategic government-linked entities.
In parallel to his corporate leadership, Salehin served as a Board Member for several influential organizations including Kristal Media, Nex.Us Sdn Bhd, Incomm Sdn Bhd, and Brunei International Gateway (BIG). His contributions across these enterprises reflected a deep commitment to public-private sector alignment and digital transformation within Brunei’s communications and tech infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Salehin served in the Brunei Administrative Service, where he was posted across departments such as the Public Service Department, Treasury, Audit, and District Office. He also worked as an HR Officer at Brunei Investment Agency, gaining a solid foundation in financial governance and human resource systems.
Salehin holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Birmingham, further reinforcing his expertise in modern HR practices and strategic people management.
