Greater Boston, Massachusetts, United States – October 2024 – Sam Riga has recently assumed the role of Senior Director, People Partner at SmartBear, a leading provider of software development tools. In this new position, Sam will play a crucial role in enhancing HR strategies and fostering a people-centric culture that aligns with SmartBear’s growth and innovation initiatives.
Prior to joining SmartBear, Sam was at athenahealth for over 3 years, where he served as Senior HR Business Partner Manager and HR Business Partner Manager. In these roles, he led HR initiatives that supported organizational transformation, employee engagement, and leadership development.
Before athenahealth, Sam spent over 2 years at Infosys as Senior Lead – HR Business Partner and Lead – HR Business Partner. He drove strategic HR projects and provided HR support to various business units, contributing to employee satisfaction and performance improvement.
Earlier in his career, Sam was a Human Resources Generalist at Consigli Construction Co., Inc., where he handled HR operations, employee relations, and talent development efforts, demonstrating a strong commitment to workforce optimization.
Sam began his HR career at Eversource Energy, where he held several HR roles, including HR Coordinator and Human Resources Contractor. His work at Eversource involved supporting HR operations, leading employee engagement programs, and participating in leadership development projects.
