Tehran, Tehran Province, Iran, July 2025 — Dr. Saman Nabovati has been appointed as the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at SAIPA Group, a role in which he will lead the automotive conglomerate’s long-term strategic initiatives, project portfolios, and innovation-focused business development activities. This elevation marks a significant step in SAIPA’s journey toward strengthening its position as a leading automotive group in Iran and the region.
Dr. Nabovati has been associated with SAIPA for over 19 years in various key roles. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Vice Deputy of Strategy and Business Development, where he was instrumental in steering organizational transformation, optimizing strategic goals, and expanding market presence. He also held the role of Director of Strategic Planning and Project Management for eight years, demonstrating strong capabilities in project governance, stakeholder alignment, and enterprise-wide innovation.
Beyond his core roles at SAIPA, Dr. Nabovati has actively contributed to the broader automotive and financial sectors. Since July 2025, he has also been serving as Chairman of the Board at SAIPA Automotive Research & Innovation Center (AIRIC), a part-time position where he oversees cutting-edge research and innovation in automobile design and development. Previously, he was a Board Member at Saipa Azin, contributing to operational strategy between 2020 and 2022.
Before rejoining SAIPA’s strategic leadership path, Dr. Nabovati worked in the financial sector as Director of Strategic Planning at Iran Zamin Bank and earlier as Management Consultant at Parsian Bank, focusing on strategy formulation and execution within banking environments. His combined experience across automotive and financial institutions brings a comprehensive approach to managing business development and long-term growth strategies.
