City of London, England, United Kingdom, January 2026 — Signify Technology has announced the promotion of Samantha Smylie to the role of Global Director of People. The appointment recognizes Smylie’s pivotal contribution over the past three years in shaping the organization’s people agenda, strengthening leadership capability, and aligning culture and performance frameworks with Signify Technology’s business growth strategy.
In her new role, Samantha Smylie will sit at the intersection of culture, leadership, and commercial strategy, ensuring the company’s people approach drives sustainable, high-impact delivery. The organization credited her impact as extending beyond traditional HR—supporting accountability, performance, and organisational direction through a commercially aligned yet people-first strategy.
Prior to this promotion, Samantha Smylie served as Global Head of Human Resources at Signify Technology, a role she held for about one and a half years. As a standalone HR leader and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she led the company’s people strategy and operations across the UK and US, driving initiatives across organizational design, HRIS implementation, global benefits, compliance, performance management, career frameworks, employee engagement, inclusion and equity, and manager coaching.
Before that, she worked as Human Resources Manager at Signify Technology, where she strengthened the company’s HR foundations, supported people operations, and contributed to the cultural and performance evolution that underpins the organization’s growth momentum.
Earlier in her career, Smylie was part of True Search, serving as Human Resources Business Partner and later as Human Resources Generalist. During her time at True Search, she supported HR across EMEA and APAC, covering multiple countries, managed the employee lifecycle, introduced performance management processes, worked closely with Talent Acquisition and L&D, and advised leaders on employee relations and local legislation.
She also worked at Phillips 66 as a Recruitment and HR Coordinator (FTC), supporting recruitment for commercial and corporate roles in London while assisting the UK HR function across the employee lifecycle, benefits, training administration, reporting, and HR customer service.
Smylie additionally built early talent and stakeholder engagement experience at Harris Hill Charity Recruitment Specialists (as Recruitment Consultant and Talent Sourcer) and contributed to volunteer recruitment and public communications as Publicity Officer at Nottingham Night Owls, a non-profit focused on student safety.
