Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Samir Kawle has been appointed as Vice President – Global Operational Resilience, BCM and Crisis Management at Deutsche Bank, marking a significant step in his distinguished career spanning over 18 years in business continuity, operational resilience, and risk management.
In his new role, Samir will lead strategic initiatives to enhance the bank’s global operational resilience frameworks, business continuity mechanisms, and crisis management programs. His focus will be on strengthening enterprise-wide preparedness, ensuring that Deutsche Bank continues to meet the highest global standards of risk mitigation, continuity planning, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to this appointment, Samir served as Assistant Vice President – Operational Resilience at Deutsche Bank, where he played a pivotal role in designing and executing resilience strategies across multiple business lines and geographies. His contributions in developing response frameworks and enhancing cross-functional risk coordination earned him recognition as a trusted leader in resilience management.
Before joining Deutsche Bank, Samir was associated with Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance as Chief Manager & Lead – Business Continuity Management, where he spearheaded initiatives to build a culture of preparedness and ensure compliance with global continuity standards. Earlier, he held key roles at Intelenet Global Services, HDFC Bank, and A.P. Moller – Maersk Global Service Centres, where he successfully led projects in business impact analysis, recovery planning, and incident response governance.
With a strong foundation in both operational execution and strategic leadership, Samir has been instrumental in building robust continuity structures and scalable operational risk frameworks across global and domestic organizations. His appointment reflects Deutsche Bank’s continued commitment to resilience excellence and proactive crisis management in a rapidly evolving financial environment.
