New Delhi, India, December 2025 — North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) has announced the appointment of Samiran Sinharay as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With nearly 35 years of HR leadership experience at NTPC Limited, Sinharay brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and proven expertise in strategic people management, talent development, and organisational transformation within India’s energy sector.
Currently on secondment from NTPC as Chief General Manager (HR), Sinharay has made remarkable contributions across NTPC’s regional and project-level HR functions. His career includes leadership roles such as Regional Head of HR at NTPC’s Northern Region Headquarters (Lucknow) and Eastern Region-II Headquarters (Bhubaneswar), in addition to his tenure at Eastern Region-I Headquarters (Patna), where he led diverse HR initiatives across multiple thermal and renewable power projects.
Throughout his long-standing career, Samiran Sinharay has also played a pivotal role in various NTPC joint ventures and subsidiaries, including NTPC–SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) and Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited (BRBCL) at Nabinagar. His leadership in HR functions for NTPC’s large-scale operations—including thermal and solar projects like Nokh Solar—underscores his deep operational understanding of workforce engagement, policy implementation, and capability building.
As CHRO at NEEPCO, Sinharay is set to strengthen the organisation’s human capital strategy, focusing on talent development, organisational effectiveness, and employee well-being. His appointment aligns with NEEPCO’s continued efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio while nurturing a people-centric culture within India’s power generation sector.
