London, England, United Kingdom, March 2026 — Maulik Mashkaria has joined Mizuho as Managing Director and Chief Client Development Officer for Banking EMEA, based in London. In this role, he will focus on driving client strategy, strengthening alignment and collaboration across Banking teams, and contributing to client development efforts in the Middle East.
Mashkaria brings deep institutional experience across investment banking and client leadership. Most recently, he served at Citi as Chief Operating Officer, BCMA Middle East and Africa franchise, supporting the franchise’s operating rhythm and execution priorities. He also held multiple leadership positions within Citi’s Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory organization in London, including Director and earlier roles such as Vice President, Investment Banking and Investment Banking Associate, working across client coverage and strategic initiatives.
Earlier in his career, he held roles spanning research, market and competitor analytics, and investment banking support functions at Citi, and began his professional journey with J.P. Morgan as a Securities Processing Analyst.
At Mizuho, he will support the bank’s Banking franchise across EMEA through a sharper client strategy, stronger cross-team coordination, and sustained relationship development across priority markets.
