Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Sandeep Agarwal has been appointed as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Security, India and SAARC at Cisco. In this capacity, he will lead the company’s security strategy and technology initiatives across the region, leveraging his deep expertise in cybersecurity, risk governance, and compliance to strengthen digital resilience for enterprises.
With over two decades of experience, Sandeep has built a distinguished career across leading organizations in technology, finance, and consulting. At Google Cloud, he played a key role as Security Specialist, where he supported clients in adopting secure cloud solutions. Prior to this, at OakNorth, he served as VP and later Director of Security and Compliance, leading risk governance and product security architecture globally.
Earlier in his career, Sandeep was associated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Security Specialist Solutions Architect, helping establish AWS as a trusted technology platform in India and South Asia’s public sector. He also held senior leadership roles as Assistant Vice President & CISO at Max Life Insurance, and Vice President & CISO at Moody’s Analytics Knowledge Services, where he was responsible for information security, data privacy, and business continuity functions.
His career foundations were built through impactful roles at Al Khalij Commercial Bank, PwC, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Barclays Capital, and the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO). These positions equipped him with a strong grounding in IT governance, security frameworks, and applied research, enabling him to design and implement resilient security ecosystems.
