Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2024 – Sanjay Gawde has started a new position as Group Talent Management at Mahindra Group. In this role, Sanjay will focus on enhancing and driving the talent management strategies across the group to support its growth and development objectives.
Sanjay Gawde has been with Mahindra Group for over two years. Before his current role, he served as Group Rewards, where he was responsible for developing and implementing reward strategies that aligned with the group’s objectives. His work involved ensuring competitive compensation structures and effective reward systems to attract and retain top talent.
Before joining Mahindra Group, Sanjay was the Head – Total Rewards & Performance Management at Lupin. In this role, he led the digitalization and technology integration in HR practices, focusing on analytics and empowerment to make HR processes more efficient and impactful.
Sanjay also founded Pencilworks Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company dedicated to premium skill development in creative domains. As the Founder, he partnered with leading solutions providers to bridge the skill demand gap in industries such as beauty, wellness, and media.
Earlier in his career, Sanjay held several key positions at John Deere, including HR Business Partner, Global Tractor and Global IT, Manager – Workforce Planning, Organization Effectiveness and Advanced Analytics, and Sr. General Manager – HR, IR and Admin. He was responsible for strategic workforce alignment, talent development, and maintaining industrial relations at the company’s manufacturing plant.
Additionally, Sanjay worked at Hewitt Associates as a Lead Consultant, where he led the western India market for IT, ITeS, and manufacturing clients as a total rewards expert. He also served as Manager HR at EXL Service and AM – HR at GE Capital, where he managed HR operations, staffing, and employee engagement initiatives.
Sanjay began his career as an Engineer at Gammon India Ltd, working in the Works Survey Section as a techno-legal expert on construction contracts.
